"A hungry person is an angry person."

A movie about food will probably have me hooked pretty quickly - and sadly, with little or no effort. Because frankly, you can get tired of a boring film, but when you've got some mouth-watering food involved, they start to tell their own story. I've already seen quite a few of the films on this super handy list, but I hope to get through all of them one day.

I recently watched Mostly Martha, an absolute gem. I haven't seen its American remake (pretty sure No Reservations was awful) and I hope I never do. If a film can make me laugh and cry, AND involves food in a very major way? WINNER!! It also reaffirmed my need to learn German someday. And my need to marry a chef. Anyway, I loved this excerpt from the film.
In the tank, a lobster eats itself slowly from the inside. That’s why you have to check its weight when you buy one. If it’s not as heavy as it looks, it has been in the tank too long.
Some people still kill a lobster by throwing it in boiling water. But by now, everyone should know that for an animal, it’s the most agonizing death because it takes so long to die. The best way to kill a lobster is with a well-placed stab in its neck. It’s quickest. - Martha
